How God Continues to Protect Israel

How-God-Continues-to-Protect-Israel The Israel Store

Israel has never been just another nation. From the moment God called Abraham, He made a promise—a covenant that would last through generations. “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3). The Jewish people have been surrounded by enemies, targeted for destruction, and yet—against all odds—they still stand. Why? Because the God of Israel never sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4).

God’s protection over Israel is not just an old story—it’s a living, breathing reality.

Biblical Proof: God’s Hand Over Israel

The Bible is filled with moments where God steps in to shield His people.

The Exodus: Pillar of Cloud and Fire

When Pharaoh’s army pursued the Israelites, they had nowhere to run. The Red Sea in front of them, Egyptian chariots behind them—it should have been over. But Exodus 14:19-20 tells us that God’s angel and a pillar of cloud moved between Israel and their enemies, blocking the Egyptians and keeping them safe. And then, God did what only He can do—He split the sea in half and made a way where there was none.

Hezekiah and the Angel of the Lord

Fast forward to the time of King Hezekiah. The mighty Assyrian army surrounded Jerusalem, ready to crush the city. They had already wiped out countless nations—Israel was next. But Hezekiah prayed, and God answered. “Then the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the Assyrian camp” (2 Kings 19:35). When morning came, the enemy was gone. Just like that.

Esther: Hidden Miracles

Not every act of divine protection comes with fire from heaven. Sometimes, God works behind the scenes. Take Esther—an orphan girl turned queen—who risked everything to save the Jewish people from annihilation in Persia. If she had stayed silent, the Jews would have been wiped out. But God placed her in that position “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14), and He used her bravery to change history.

Modern Miracles: Israel Still Stands

You think miracles stopped in the Bible? Think again.

1948: A Nation Is Reborn

After nearly 2,000 years of exile, Israel came back to life. On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared Israel’s independence. The very next day, five Arab nations attacked, vowing to “push the Jews into the sea.” The newly formed IDF had barely any weapons, yet somehow—miraculously—they won. The world called it impossible. We call it God’s hand.

The Six-Day War (1967): A Victory Only God Could Deliver

Imagine being surrounded by enemies with superior firepower. Israel was outnumbered, outgunned, and facing annihilation. But in just six days, Israel not only survived—it gained Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the Sinai Peninsula, and the Golan Heights. Israeli pilots took down enemy jets at impossible ratios. Soldiers recaptured the Western Wall. It was a David-versus-Goliath moment, and David won.

Iron Dome: A Shield Over the Land

In the 21st century, rockets rain down on Israel. Terrorists launch missiles at civilians, hoping to destroy lives. But Israel has the Iron Dome, a missile defense system that intercepts and destroys rockets in midair. Scientists created it, yes—but time and time again, even they admit that there are moments they can’t explain. Rockets that should have hit Tel Aviv suddenly veer off into the sea. Bombs that should have hit buildings land in empty fields. As one IDF commander put it: “It’s as if someone’s hand is moving them away.”

Psalm 91: Under His Wings

So, what’s the secret to Israel’s survival? It’s not luck. It’s not military strategy. It’s not political deals. It’s the God of Israel, who promised to protect His people.

Psalm 91 says it best:

"He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." (Psalm 91:4)

This promise isn’t just for Israel—it’s for anyone who trusts in Him. When we stand with Israel, when we put our faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we come under that same divine protection.

Wear the Promise: Under His Wings Hoodie

If you believe in God’s protection over Israel—if you know that His hand is still shielding His people—why not wear that promise?

Our Under His Wings Psalm 91 Unisex Hoodie is a best-seller for a reason. It’s more than just a hoodie—it’s a declaration of faith. A reminder that no matter what happens, God is still in control.

Wear it. Declare it. Stand with Israel. Because God’s promises never fail. And neither does His protection.
